Help! I’ve been bitten by the poker bug!
The bug first reared its ugly head a couple of years ago when I first found poker on the Travel channel. I probably would have joined the craze then, but my day job as a goat farmer in BFE limited my luxury time. (No jokes, please >:p )
My life is in a much better place now, and I have the ability to indulge myself with hobbies. Yes, hobby. While I won’t discuss the crazy dreams that run through my head at times, I merely look at my foray into the poker realms as a delightful form of entertainment. If I can toss a few hundred dollars into EQ or DAoC, why not put $50 into Party Poker?
So what’s the point to all this? Why is a 26-year-old geek girl from Texas adding to the poker blog explosion? Once I made the decision to play online poker, I did a lot of searching and browsing forums. Most other writers seemed to both have a bigger bankroll and play higher limit games or just didn’t really address my basic beginner questions. As Jaxia, I already had an outlet for discussing my personal life and I didn’t want to subject my friends to my obsession with poker. Hopefully, StealTheBlinds.net will appeal to other people who are just beginning to dip their toes into the turbulent poker waters.
