According to poker tracker, I’ve played 200 hands of online poker since November. Was it the looming WPBT or Pauly’s news that put poker back on my brain? I’m not sure, but I found myself seated at the tables this afternoon.

I pulled up my favorite low-limit hold em poker table and found a seat. Considering I’d seen the flop for less than 9% of my hands, one would think that I had a fairly tight image.

I guess not.

Ad Ah, button: A couple of limpers, the cutoff raises. Scared of the fish, I re-raised. 5 of us see the flop - 2c 8d 3d. It’s checked around to me, and I bet. Everyone calls. Turn - 5d. Not a pretty card, but at least I have the Ad. It’s checked around to me again, and I bet out. Only the EP limper calls. The Ac on the river gives me trips, but I don’t like it. He checks to me, and I bet. Yep, he raised it. His cards? 3s4s and he rakes in the biggest pot I saw all day. The bet on the river was stupid, and I knew it even before I hit the button.

Maybe there’s a reason I stopped playing online poker.

So, it seems like I always have something going on during scheduled WPBT shin-digs. My birthday is June 5th and SK’s is June 11th. Also, I’m in a summer class (Microbioology). But, I do have Fridays off, so I would be able to make it for the weekend. It’d be really cool to be in Las Vegas during the WSOP.

I’m still not sure if I can make it or not, but I thought I’d put a few feelers out there:

Anyone interested in splitting a room or have couch space for rent?
